BALKAN AGRO FOOD NETWORK
The BAFN (Balkan Agro Food Network) project started on 1st May 2006 and will run for two years, ending in April 2008. Main goal is to support researchers of the agricultural and food sector from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, FYROM, and Serbia in their participation in research projects supported by the European Union.
Researchers from universities, research institutes and NGOs, as well as private companies from the agricultural and food sector have the possibility to register in an on-line database. This database will help to promote competencies and initiate cooperation with research groups, researchers and private companies from the European Union. Furthermore, consultations of the registered experts are organised.

SMEs GO HEALTH
The main objective of the SMEs go Health initiative is to offer advice and support to Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs and SME groupings) and assist them in participating in EU-funded research projects in the Health thematic priority of FP7. The project aims to help improve the quality of research project proposals submitted in the Health thematic priority of FP7 and increase the participation rate of SMEs, focusing, on the one hand, on the capacity building and training of SMEs and researchers in their preparation of EU-funded projects, and on the other hand, providing support activities for consortium building and matchmaking for SMEs and researchers preparing EU project proposals. An international partner search platform enables researchers and SMEs to promote and publish expert profiles and partner searches.
